TOWNSHIP OF BILLINGS MANDATORY BOIL WATER ADVISORY IN EFFECT
KAGAWONG, ON: Public Health Sudbury and Districts have issued a Mandatory boil water advisory for residents on the water system as of Friday June 9, 2023 at 10:00 p.m.
Due to an issue at the Kagawong Water Tower, residents on the water system may have experienced a loss of water and or pressure on Friday evening. Although the water pressure has been restored, out of an abundance of caution all residents on the water system are under a MANDATORY BOIL WATER ADVISORY until further notice.
Residents are advised to boil their water before use or, as an alternative, use bottled water or commercially treated water from an approved source until the boil water advisory has been lifted by Public Health Sudbury and Districts.
We are anticipating that water users will need to boil their water until at least midday Sunday Official notice will be given when lab results are received and the order is lifted by the Public Health Sudbury and Districts confirming that the water is safe to consume.
Free cases of bottled water are available to water users on the water system at the Kagawong Marina Saturday 8am-8pm and Sunday 8am – 5pm. If you require assistance, please contact edance@billingstwp.ca
