BE IT RESOLVED THAT this regular meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Billings be opened with a quorum present at 7:30 p.m. with Mayor Hunt presiding in the Chair.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council instructs the Clerk Treasurer to send a letter of support to Mr. Brian McCullagh at Vianet, for funding to improve broadband internet services for our area.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Municipal Office will be closed from December 24, 2014 to January 2, 2015 inclusive and that the landfill be closed on December 25, 2014 and January 1, 2015.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council direct the Clerk Treasurer to contact Brian Willoughby and request he place a 40 yard bin at the landfill site at no cost to the township.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Clerk Treasurer be directed to send a letter to the appropriate office to lodge our complaint/concerns regarding the direction of the current broadband internet service.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council agrees to extend the lease on the property at 156 Main Street until the Council decision is made on Mr. Hurcomb’s proposal; and further that the Clerk Treasurer is instructed to negotiate with Mr. Hurcomb on the options available.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council authorizes the following accounts for payment:
General Accounts $169,457.59
Water Capital $ 23,046.86
And that the Mayor and Treasurer be authorized to sign cheques number 2533 to 2579 and Water Capital cheques number 074 and 075 as described in the attached registers.
