2014-120 Hurcomb – Mack

BE IT RESOLVED THAT this regular meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Billings be opened with a quorum present at 7:30 p.m. with Mayor Hunt presiding in the Chair.

2014-121 Imrie – Hurcomb

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council accepts the minutes of the May 5, 2014 regular meeting as presented.

Carried

 

Councillor Imrie reported on the May 5, 2014 meeting of the Museum Board.

Councillor Parker reported on the CPAC meeting that he attended.

Mayor Hunt reported on the FONOM meeting he attended.

 

2014-122 Parker – Imrie

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Billings Township Council adopts FONOM Resolution No. 2014-06 regarding Police Costs and other related matters and rescinds any previous motions related to these issued.

2014-123 Hurcomb – Mack

BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law 2014-15, being a by-law to authorize vote by mail be given third reading and enacted.

2014-124 Mack – Hurcomb

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council directs the Clerk Treasurer to make a $50 one time donation to Central Algoma Joint Disaster Relief Committee.

2014-125 Imrie – Mack

BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law 2014-18, being a by-law to accept all roads within Inspiration Point Subdivision, Plan 31M208 be given first and second reading.

2014-126 Imrie – Mack

BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law 2014-18, being a by-law to accept all roads within the Inspiration Point Subdivision, Plan 31M2108 be given third reading and enacted.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT we authorize staff to send out an RFP for the Monitoring of the wells at the landfill.

2014-128 Imrie – Mack

WHEREAS, an application was made to the Manitoulin Planning Board in 2013 for a lot creation together with a right of way over an existing access to Hideaway Road, being part lots 21 and 22, Concession 18, Billings Township

AND WHEREAS the Right of Way travels over Part of Block 19 Plan 31M197, owned by the Township of Billings, and now surveyed as Part 3 Plan 31R-3952

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THATBillings Township will grant an easement over Part 3 Plan 3R- 3952 to allow access to the Right of way to Part 1 on Plan 31R-3952.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Billings Township supports the Central Manitoulin resolution 89-14 and further that a copy of the resolution be sent to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Premier Kathleen Wynne.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council authorizes the following accounts for payment:

General Accounts $27,797.09

and that the Mayor and Treasurer be authorized to sign cheques number 2138 to 2170 as described in the attached register.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law 2014-19, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be given first, second and third reading and enacted.

2014-132 Parker – Imrie

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council adjourns from this regular meeting of Council at 8:40 p.m. until our next regular meeting of June 3, 2014 or Call of the Chair.
