2014-059 Hurcomb – Parker
BE IT RESOLVED THAT this regular meeting of Council be opened at 7:30 p.m. with a quorum present with Mayor Hunt presiding in the Chair.
2014-060 Parker – Hurcomb
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council accepts the minutes of the March 4, 2014 regular meeting as presented.
Councillor Parker reported on the CPAC meeting he attended March 12, 2014.
Councillor Hurcomb reported on the meeting she attended with FedNor, Split Rail Brewery and Mary Nelder.
Councillor Hurcomb reported that she had a house fire this morning and the fire department showed up within 10 minutes of the 911 call. She congratulated the Fire Department for their impeccable service.
Councillor Mack reported on the Recreation Committee meeting held March 5, 2014. Summerfest will be held July 19, 2014.
Mayor Hunt reported on the AMO Communications Motion of Liability Reform and a FONOM teleconference.
2014-061 Mack – Parker
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council instructs the Clerk Treasurer and Public Works Superintendent and Councillor Sandi Hurcomb to proceed with interviews for the Township’s student positions and gives approval to hire the selected students.
2014-062 Hurcomb – Parker
WHEREAS, RMCG and Transportation Options are finishing off the Georgian Bay Cycling Route Feasibility Study and Implementation Plan this month;
AND WHEREAS, the proposed cycling route is several kilometers long in Billings Township, along Rockville Road;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Council supports the Georgian Bay Cycling Route.
2014-063 Hurcomb – Parker
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council agrees to pay the registration and expenses for Kathy McDonald to attend the Fred Dean workshop in North Bay on May 8, 2014.
2014-064 Hurcomb – Mack
BE IT RESOLVED THAT council direct the Clerk Treasurer to contact Mary Nelder to assist the Township of Billings in producing a Community Improvement Plan.
2014-065 Mack – Parker
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council acknowledges receipt of the Kagawong Water Treatment Plan 2013 Annual and Summary Report.
2014-066 Hurcomb – Mack
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council authorizes the following accounts for payment:
General Accounts $103,338.24
And that the Mayor and Treasurer be authorized to sign cheques number 1983 to 2015 as described in the attached register.
2014-067 Mack – Parker
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council will now go “in camera” at 8:48 p.m. to discuss matters pertaining to Section 239. (1) (b) of the Municipal Act, 2001, c.25, regarding personal matters about an identifiable individual.
2014-068 Mack – Parker
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council adjourns from this “in camera’ meeting at 8:55 p.m. and resume our regular meeting.
2014-069 Mack – Hurcomb
BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law 2014-07, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be given first, second and third reading and enacted.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council adjourns from this regular meeting of Council at 8:47 p.m. until our next regular meeting of April 1, 2014 or Call of the Chair.
