BE IT RESOLVED that this regular meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Billings be opened at 7:30 p.m. with Mayor Austin Hunt presiding.

BE IT RESOLVED that the minutes of the June 15, 2015 regular meeting of Council be accepted as presented.

BE IT RESOLVED that the minutes of the June 16, 2015 budget meeting be accepted as presented.

Bill Riley, from MIS Insurance made a presentation to Council regarding the current insurance that the township has.
Councillor Imrie reported on the July 6, 2015 museum meeting.
Councillor Parker reported on the Provincial Offences Board emergency meeting that was held on July 6, 2015.
Councillor Erskine reported on the Recreation Committee car wash held July 4, 2015.
Councillor Alkenbrack reported on the Economic Development Committee.
Mayor Hunt reminded Council of the July 15, 2015 Manitoulin Municipal Association meeting.

BE IT RESOLVED that Council instructs the Clerk Treasurer to submit the Phase II Application for the Economic Development position funding.

BE IT RESOLVED that By-Law 2015-17, being a by-law to regulate the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Billings be given third reading and enacted.

BE IT RESOLVED that Council accepts the 2015 Budget as presented.

BE IT RESOLVED that By-Law 2015-28, being a By-Law to provide for the adoption of tax rates and to further provide for penalty and interest in default of payment thereof for 2015 be given first, second, third reading and enacted.

BE IT RESOLVED that the township will pay registration and expenses for the Clerk Treasurer to attend a training course in Sudbury on July 14, 2015.

BE IT RESOLVED that Council permits the fish and game club to use a generator at the hatchery building to operate the chiller.

BE IT RESOLVED that Council approves the request to plant a tree by Mr. Dougal Bichan provided that the location of the tree and any memorial plaque that may be installed is approved by Council prior to the installation and planting occurs.

BE IT RESOLVED that Billings Township will donate $50 to the Tweed Disaster Relief fund.

And that the Mayor and Treasurer be authorized to sign cheques number 3149 to 3193 and 92.
