BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council accepts the minutes of the July 2, 2013 regular meeting as presented.

Councillor Imrie reported that the POA had conducted interviews and he would be reporting back to Council.

Councillor Imrie reported on the Waterfront Improvement Committee meeting.

Councillor Imrie reported on the Museum Board Meeting to organize the opening of Mariners Park.

Councillor Imrie reported on the Art of Being Billings open house to be held July 20.

Councillor Imrie reported on the opening of Mariners Park.

Councillor Parker reported on the OPP dedication of the OPP Boat named after Gwen Boniface, held on Saturday July 13.

Councillor Hurcomb reported on the Library Board Book and Bake Sale.

Councillor Mack reported on the July 4, 2013 Recreation Committee meeting.

Councillor Mack reported that the Park Centre Advisory Committee has not been meeting.

Mayor Hunt reported on the opening of Mariners Park.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law 2013-37, being a By-law for the purpose of amending Zoning By-Law No. 80-11, in respect to Amendment Application File No. 8011ZBL-13-002 amends:

(1) Section 5, Definitions, to add the following definition:
‘SELF-STORAGE UNIT – shall mean buildings used, rented or leased to persons for the storage of household and personal items, within separate units forming part of a wholly enclosed building.’,And

(2) Section 8, Special Provisions, to permit by Special Provision No. 8.29:
1. one (1) portable storage container (+-2.4M. x +-15.8M.),
2. a public garage (mechanical),
3. a vehicle impound yard, and
4. 30 self-storage units

within the lands described as Part Lot 27, Concession XIV, surveyed as Part 1, Plan 31R-2355, Township of Billings, Municipality of Billings and Allan East, District of Manitoulin, as registered in the Land Registry Office for the Registry Division of Manitoulin (31) read a first and second time this 15th July, 2013.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law 2013-35, being an Open Air Burning By-Law prescribing the Control of Fires in the Municipality including requirements for permits and precautions to be observed be given first and second reading.

Gore Bay Manitoulin Airport $ 2,000
Gore Bay Fish and Game Club $ 1,000

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Staff has reviewed the application for Douglas Smith and Constance Osmond, File No. B15-13 and have concerns regarding the available locations of a driveway on the property to be severed. Visibility is restricted in most locations so the driveway will need to be located at the west end of the property. The applicant needs to be advised that they must obtain an entrance permit from Billings Township when the property is developed.
