BE IT RESOLVED that this regular meeting of Council be opened with a quorum present at 7:30 p.m. with Mayor Hunt presiding.

BE IT RESOLVED that the agenda for the February 7, 2017 regular meeting of Council be accepted as amended.

Mayor Hunt declared a conflict of interest item 8. g) as he had an application for property severance.

Councillor Bath-Haring reported on the February 6, 2017 Museum Board meeting.
Councillor Parker attended the ROMA conference and reported on the delegation with Minister Bob Chiarelli, Minister of Infrastructure. The meeting was somewhat disheartening.
Councillor Erskine also reported on the ROMA Conference and the delegation with Minister Gravelle, Minister of Northern Development and Mines. The meeting was very positive.
Councillor Erskine reported on the Canada 150 Grant Committee with updates on the sculpture trail, Summerfest, plaques and kiosk.
Councillor Erskine reported on the Highlights of the ROMA Conference.
Councillor Alkenbrack reported on the January 17, 2017 Library Board meeting.
Mayor Hunt reported on his trip to ROMA, the vendors display, FONOM delegations, Hospitality Suites and the Ontario Foods booth.

BE IT RESOLVED that the money budgeted in 2016 to be spent on the museum roof ($10,000) be transferred from the 2016 budget into general reserves and that any surplus funds from the 2016 audit be put into general reserves.

Mayor Hunt declared a conflict of interest and removed himself from the Chair of the meeting for the matters pertaining to the Planning Board. Councillor Alkenbrack Chaired this portion of the meeting.

BE IT RESOLVED that Council instructs the Clerk Treasurer/CAO to send a letter to Bob Clifford stating that the township had no objection to his proposed dredging work providing that the work does not have a negative impact on the spawning beds in the area, the adjacent neighbours have no objections and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry issues a permit.
