Beaches
The Main Beach is located in downtown Kagawong between the Aus Hunt Marina and the Old Mill.
The Sandy Beach is located in at the end of Maple Drive on Mudge Bay, Lake Huron.
Trails
LENGTH: 6km
LEVEL: Easy-Moderate
USAGE: Walking/Hiking
Access off Main Street (via stairs to the basin of Bridal Veil Falls), Henry Drive and Old Mill Road.
This trail follows the Kagawong River from Bridal Veil Falls through to Mudge Bay. The Kagawong River hosts the spawning salmon in the fall and is a designated fish sanctuary during this time. To avoid contact with poison ivy please stay on the marked trails.
Recreation
Kagawong Outdoor Rink and Market Venue
The Kagawong Outdoor Rink and Market Venue is located in downtown Kagawong next to the Kagawong Park Centre.
In the winter months the space hosts the Kagawong Outdoor Rink available for all to skate and play hockey with the hockey nets on site. The outdoor rink is maintained by volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a rink volunteer please contact the Township Office at (705) 282-2611. This space can not be reserved at this time.
In the spring, summer and fall months the space hosts the Kagawong Market. The Kagawong Market is run every Wednesday from 10am-3pm throughout the summer months. The Kagawong Market is organized by volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a vendor please contact the Township Office at (705) 282-2611.
The space is also equipped with two pickle ball courts. If you want more information about pick ball please contact the Township Office at (705) 282-2611.
The Cedar Maze is located in downtown Kagawong near the Kagawong Park Centre.
The Cedar Maze is currently closed while we complete some necessary renovations!
The life-size game board is located in downtown Kagawong, on Main Street, next to the Kuku Hut and Manitoulin Chocolate Works.
Stop by for a life-size game of checkers or chess!
The Kagawong Pavillion and Sport Court
The Kagawong Pavilion and Sport Court is location in downtown Kagawong off of Old Mill Road and Henry Drive.
The Kagawong Pavilion offers a shaded picnic area to stop and enjoy your lunch of to take a break before heading across the road to the Main Beach!
The sport court is available during the spring, summer and fall for folks to play tennis or basketball.
