Vacant Councillor Seat

At the December 19, 2023, Regular Council Meeting, Council declared one (1) Councillor seat vacant and approved the “Appoint and Eligible Elector to Fill a Vacancy Procedure”

Appointment Application Process
Interested eligible individuals looking to apply must complete and submit the following documentation:

• • Nomination Form and Declaration of Qualifications and Proof of Eligibility (attachment below)
  • Consent to Release Personal Information (MFIPPA) (attachment below)
  • Personal Statement indicating the person’s background information, relevant qualifications and why the person is interested in the position for consideration of Council. The statement must be:
    • Typewritten
    • 12 point
    • Letter size paper (8 ½” x 11”)
    • Not exceed 2 pages in length

Applicants must provide the Clerk with valid government issued ID along with the above noted documentation in person during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday – Thursday, 8:30-noon Friday) at the Township Office, 15 Old Mill Road, Kagawong ON P0P 1J0 from January 10, 2024 – January 31, 2024 (2:00 p.m.)

Withdrawal of Application            Wednesday January 31, 2024, at 2:00 p.m
