Councillor Alkenbrack reported on the Library Board meeting of September 20, 2016 and the Economic Development Committee.

BE IT RESOLVED that Council approves the purchase of one EBFCC-28 Combi tool from A J Stone Co. Ltd in the amount of $14,443.66 including tax.

BE IT RESOLVED that Council supports the Manitoulin Streams project Kag 174 for restoration of a section of Kagawong River, between the Michael Belmore Sculpture and before the bridge.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Township of Billings declares October 17 – 23, 2016 as Waste Reduction Week.

BE IT RESOLVED that By-Law 2016-34, being a by-law to enter into an agreement with Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario (as represented by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, for funding under the formula based component of the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund be given first, second, third reading and enacted.

BE IT RESOLVED that In accordance with Section 239 (1) c of the Municipal Act, 2001 S.O. Chapter 25, this Council proceed to a Closed Session at 8:36 p.m. in order to discuss a matter pertaining to a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board.
