BE IT RESOLVED THAT this regular meeting of Council be opened with a quorum present at 7:30 p.m. with Mayor Austin Hunt presiding.
2016-203 Imrie – Alkenbrack
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the agenda for the August 2, 2016 regular meeting of Council be accepted as amended.
The Agenda was amended as follows; Item New Business c) Museum Funding Application was moved to item a) and renamed Funding Application. Moved from Information f) to New Business d) was Correspondence from Quinte West.
2016-204 Alkenbrack – Imrie
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council accepts the minutes of the July 18, 2016 regular meeting as presented.
Councillor Erskine reported on the upcoming Community Pot Luck and the September 10, 2016 Bark in the Park.
Councillor Alkenbrack reported on the July 7, 2016 Economic Development Committee meeting.
2016-205 Imrie – Alkenbrack
BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law 2016-29, being a By-Law to dissolve the lease agreement with the Recreation Committee and set criteria for supervising the Gym at 91 Main Street be given first, second, third reading and enacted.
2016-206 Imrie – Alkenbrack
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approves the Township of Billings, Recreation Committee, the Museum Board and 4elements to submit a joint application to the Ontario 150 Community Celebration Program to obtain funding for projects approved by Council.
2016-207 Imrie – Alkenbrack
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council acknowledges receipt of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Report, Inspection No. 1-CN65B, for the June 14, 2016 inspection of the Kagawong Drinking Water System.
2016-208 Imrie – Erskine
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Billings Township will pay the registration for the Clerk Treasurer/CAO to take the Fred Dean Webinars 3.0 and 4.0, for the cost of $190.97 and $224.87 respectively.
2016-209 Imrie – Alkenbrack
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council endorses the motion regarding taxation of campgrounds of the City of Quinte West and requests the Clerk Treasurer advise Quinte West Accordingly.
2016-210 Alkenbrack – Imrie
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council authorizes the following accounts for payment:
General Accounts $42,960.71
and that the Mayor and Treasurer be authorized to sign cheques number 3932 to 3963 as described in the attached register.
2016-211 Erskine – Imrie
BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law 2016-31, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council be given first, second, third reading and enacted.
2016-212 Imrie – Erskine
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council adjourns from this regular meeting until our next regular meeting of September 6, 2016, or Call of the Chair.
