BE IT RESOLVED THAT this Committee of the Whole meeting of Council be opened with a quorum present at 7:30 p.m. with Mayor Hunt presiding.

Discussion regarding Emergency Management Coordinator. The Clerk is to phone other municipalities and see what they pay in remuneration to a CEMC. Kathy to advertise the position.
Council was presented with a draft timeline for the development of the 2018-2022 Strategic Plan. Council agreed to the timeline, so the Economic Development Officer will proceed.
The Clerk is to consult with an engineer to develop an RFP for the Structural Condition Assessment of all municipal buildings.
Discussion regarding Council remuneration.
The Clerk Treasurer/CAO advised Council that she would be submitting a report to Ministry of the Environment regarding dealing with the windblown litter at the landfill.
The Clerk Treasurer/CAO advised council that the water tower needed a new lining. The cost estimate is $150,000. It was agreed by Council that the township would tender this work in 2017.
The Clerk Treasurer/CAO informed the Council that the fire hall heating system needed maintenance and the cost estimate is between $600 to $900.
The Fire Department will be asked if they are interested in having Junior Firefighter program.
2018 Voting method was discussed. It was decided that the mail in vote worked well and that the 2018 Election would be vote by mail. I by-law will be passed before May 1, 2017.
The Clerk Treasurer advised Council that the Township had to develop a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Plan by April 23, 2017.
Discussion regarding wording of historical plaques.
